Same-sex Marriage

Gay Marriage

Gay marriage is a marriage like any other, the only difference is that its of two people of the same sex. They have the same responsibilities as other marriages of heterosexual couples but not the same rights. Some gay marriages are legalized by the state but other aren’t; this couples organize a special ceremony that simulate an actual wedding. In many states same-sex marriage is still illegal because their is a lot of misunderstanding about what homosexuality really is. The stereotype has it that gays are promiscuous, unable to form lasting relationships and the relationships they do form are shallow and uncommitted.

In my opinion I find nothing wrong about people in love of the same sex getting married. Homosexuals are as capable of loving as fully as anyone else is sadly they are constantly discriminate not only about marriage but also about their lifestyles. They are couples like any other, couples that may even last longer than others and that have for one to another a great amount of respect. Psychologists say that what really counts is the love an commitment put into the marriage not the gender. If they are two people in love why take away their privilege to marry? What harm do they cause by doing this?

Maybe there is none. But still many people believe there is and do anything to find arguments such as: Same-sex marriage will threaten the institution of marriage, marriage is traditionally heterosexual institution of marriage for that matte if offends everything religion stands for and others. Different to this other people actually do see this marriage as a normal process of a couple in love. For example not all religions around the world have a problem with homosexuality like Buddhism whom celebrate gay relationships freely and would like to have authority to permit they a legal marriages. Many gay couples tend to adopt anda raise children that come from failed heterosexual marriages. The point of this is that marriage is very special, beautiful and gratifying; why restrict it to certain persons?
